It is customary for HSE University to openly discuss all important issues related to its activities. We strive to solve emerging problems and conflicts together, without unilateral recourse to third parties and external organizations.
Teaching Quality Assessment (TQM)
Teaching Quality Assessment (TQA) is one of the measures to improve the planning and organisation of the teaching process. Assessment results are taken into account by heads of faculties, departments and educational programmes in adjusting their employment policy and course curriculum.
Students of all HSE University undergraduate, specialist and Master’s programmes across all campuses are involved in the Teaching Quality Assessment. After processing, summary of the survey results become available (in LMS) to programme coordinators, deans of faculties, heads of departments and schools.

By clicking on the feedback button, you can inform the administration about events, situations, and facts related to the academic or other university procedures that have caused grief, resentment, joy, and other emotions. You can speak out personally, from a group, or even anonymously.

HSE University Student Council is the main body of HSE University student government. The elections to the Student Council are held annually. The Council represents the opinions and interests of HSE University students and carries out educational, scientific and extracurricular initiatives. Any student can ask for advice or request help from the Council.
Each faculty, dormitory and campus has its own local council. Representatives from the local councils make up the main Student Council. Elections to the local councils are held every December, and any student can be nominated to participate.

International Student Association
International Students Association is a branch of HSE University student government aimed at protecting the interests and rights of foreign students at HSE University. This Association protects the rights of foreign students, accepts students' requests and suggestions, informs students about current news, and can help to implement any idea or project within the University. It also cooperates closely with the main Student Council, thus providing the necessary support to the fullest possible extent.

The HSE University's Ombudsman, or Student's Rights Commissioner, is a person who protects the interests of students. Sometimes it happens that the University or student government violates the rights of students. If you suddenly find yourself in such a situation, you can contact the HSE University’s Ombudsman. They will help solve the conflict situation!
Annual Vote for the Best Teacher
If you didn't have enough TQA, you can express all your love and gratitude in the annual vote for the best teacher. Voting is conducted in the LMS simultaneously with the TQA for Module 4. Winners receive recognition and full-time teachers receive salary bonuses.
Student Life Monitoring and Other Surveys
Every year HSE University's Centre for Institutional Research conducts student surveys to to understand how students see their experiences at HSE. Students can express their opinion on academics and student life at HSE and suggest improvements.
